THE PLACE
I’ve been to love a time or two,
But all my lovers proved untrue.
They say, “Third time’s the charm,” and I
Believe the truth those words imply,
Though not the number’s magic square,
And not the charm’s encircling flair,
But this, and only this, I know:
We’ve found the place true lovers go.
