HEADS WILL ROLL
You pretty maidens watch your heads,
Or someone cruel and evil will.
Don’t leave your fate to Chance’s roll,
Nor think that Time will safely roll
From year to year around your heads,
Like moons their orbits ever will.
Your Queen, whose lost her beauty will,
Her jealous rampage on a roll,
Surveil the curls upon your heads,
And your sweet maiden heads will roll.
